There are several large grocery chains in Massachusetts, including Shaw's,
Stop and Shop, Market Basket, Big Y, and Costco/BJ's/Sam's Club. Longer
term guests of the Samuel Fowler House receive membership to Costco and BJ's for
their shopping needs, while shorter term guests are more likely to use any of
the local grocery stores within walking distance, including Stop and Shop (in
the Liberty Tree Mall -- 8/10th's of a mile), Market Basket (on Endicott Street
-- 8/10th's of a mile) or Liberty Convenience Store (1/10th of a mile).
